Post Office Update

We are now able to update residents a little more about the Post Office Closure.

The Post Office at Budgens will be closing on 17 October, this has not changed and is unlikely to.  As has been pointed out by other people we are not sure what happened about the supposed 6 week consultation period on Post Office changes, perhaps this does not apply to Post Office Locals; we will be checking.

With regard to a relocation of the Post Office to alternative premises we were given the OK yesterday to let people know that the Post Office are in talks with One Stop to relocate the Counter there, yes the same shop it moved from a year ago.  Hopefully the talks will go well but unfortunately there will be a break in service, however well discussions go, as the time is too short for a new service to start on the 17th.
