About Me

Cllr Michael Hoy

Having been elected as a Green Councillor to Rochford District Council in 2010 for the Hullbridge Ward I have continued to serve in that capacity since then and have been joined by two other Green Councillors, Stuart Wilson and Diane Hoy.

I am a father of two children, one of whom currently goes to Sweyne-Park School in Rayleigh and the eldest attends SEEVIC in Benfleet, both having previously attended Riverside School in Hullbridge, and am married to Diane.

I have lived in Hullbridge since 2001 (Diane has lived here since she was 10) whilst my dads family lived in Hockley from the 1940’s until a few years ago and I care passionately about both villages, deploring changes which get made without any thought to the community.

I like to believe I am involved in what goes on but have to concede there are people and groups that I do not know and who do not know me, however I do take part in village activities from the Village Fairs & Christmas Lights to the Up River Regatta.

If you believe I should come to your event or visit your group please let me know, my contact details are below.
