Lords Golf & Country Club – enforcement action taken

Lords Golf & Country Club have been issued, as reported in the Echo, with an enforcement notice to remove the marquee currently standing in its grounds, for which it has not had planning permission.  In addition the Golf Course has been issued with a stop notice meaning they are not able to use the marquee.

The enforcement notice can be appealed against but the stop notice cannot.  It is unusual for a stop notice to be issued and indicates the seriousness in which the Council have taken the problems suffered by residents.

  1. Absolutely fantastic news. This is testament to the fact that resolution of problems like this can be made and folk shouldnt just put up and shut up!

  2. This is what your Councillors are for. It did take time but the evidence collected and the liaison between councillors, Officers and residents did work.
