Hullbridge Christmas Lights Switch On – Saturday 8 December

After many years at the Willow Tree in front of Riverside School, and before that at the Library, the Parish Council have move the annual Christmas Light Event to Pooles Lane Car Park.  This will allow a lot more room for people to gather and to see the event in greater comfort (if standing for a couple of hours can ever be comfortable).

The event starts at 3.00pm with a small Christmas Fair which include

  • 1st Hullbridge Scouts – with their Burger and coffee stand
  • The Anchor – With a Hog Roast
  • Shop At My Local – with some free bags and offers
  • Help for Heroes
  • And many more.

Father Christmas then Arrives at 4.00pm in a Horse Drawn Carriage (supplied by Cooks Coaches) and he will then go into the Community Centre to give out Presents.

Various Choirs and Dance Groups will entertain us until the Switch on at 6.15pm, by, we hope, some special guests.  Parish Councillors will be there helping and will be wearing bright yellow jackets, make sure you speak to them, they are your representatives.

Please come along, this is always a good event and the Car Park location has allowed us to make it bigger and better than ever this year.  If you want to give feed back after the event or would like to help at future ones please let us know and we will pass your information on.
