A successful and well attended protest was held outside the Post Office at Budgens yesterday, with the Echo newspaper in attendance. This is all part of the pressure being put onto the Post Office to find a new location for the Village Post Office.
Cllr Michael Hoy has now spoken to other shops in Hullbridge, and with the Post Office, to see if one of the shops will be willing and able to house a Post Office for the Village. He does remain hopeful of a resolution and will continue to speak with all parties.
A petition has been started calling on the Post Office to retain provision of this service in Hullbridge and will be placed at various points around Hullbridge for signature.
