Rochford District Council has announced a review of Lord’s Licence, the notice can be read here .

The Licensing Authority, Rochford District Council, hereby gives notice of an application for review of a Premises Licence in respect of

Lords Golf and Country Club, Hullbridge Road, Rayleigh, Essex, SS6 9QS.

The grounds of the application for review are that the premises are failing to promote the licensing objective of the prevention of public nuisance. The review will consider allegations of loud music emanating from the premises and accompanying noise nuisance.

The licence’s main details are as follows

Alcohol, Regulated  Entertainment & Provision of Entertainment Facilities

  • Sunday to Thursday 08.00hrs –  24.00hrs
  • Friday & Saturday 08.00hrs – 01.00hrs.
  • Late Night Refreshment
    Monday to Sunday 23.00hrs – 05.00hrs
  • An additional hour to be added to the above times on all Public and Bank Holidays and all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays preceding such holidays and on the following notable days Maundy Thursday, Burns Night, Valentines day, 29 February, St David’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, St George’s Day, Halloween (31st  October),  St Andrews Day, Christmas Eve, 27th & 28th December.

  1. How did a Golf Course get a license that is less restrictive than the Community Centre and Day Centre ?
    How they can have late night refreshments all week is also beyond me.
    I’m not aware of any pub that has such a license ?

  2. I am not surprised about the noise question. The Commie were getting complaints when shut. Noise coming from Lords
