Went for a run this morning and had an atrocious time. Had to cut it short and managed just 4.4 miles.
Analysing it I felt good and went off too quickly with no warm up for which I suffered over the next 2 and a bit miles. Got warmed up on way back and threw in a quicker (not quick) mile near the end but it was too late.
Rule for running as for life: start of slowly and don’t get overconfident.
Out tomorrow to try for the intended 10k as have a 5 mile race in 2 weeks.
